Speech-less!

-A German friend is learning Arabic here in Amman at the” French” Cultural Centre.

-a Student at university is called “7afartali” as in vulgar, because he used Arabic lettering in his project's presentation.

-scene at Fuddruckers, An American restaurant in Amman, we tried to scan the tables around us, and apparently all of those who were sitting are purely Arabs, and yet we didn’t hear a single Arabic word, except for the occasional “ya3ne” .

-we were asked to write an official report for some project, and I was surprised to see those “anti-Arabic speakers” writing absolute rubbish, I mean get over it, you can’t write an academic report using your super American whateverish slang.I think to myself "if they can't write proper arabic OR english,where do they fit?!"

-out of a group of 11 people,7 of them did not write any Arabic text since 8th grade (about 7 years), and did not read any, except for the newspaper "occasionally".

-1st year student asks with great enthusiasm “whose mahmoud abu darwish?!!”

-And ..I blog in English!!
